Job Introduction

We are now recruiting for Shift Managers join the Warehouse Operations team at our Liverpool Distribution Centre, based in Axis Business Park.


Our distribution centres are some of the most technologically advanced in Europe, and we are looking for high calibre individuals to manage and lead the operations to support our sales in an expanding network.


As a Shift Manager, you will lead and manage your Section Manager team to ensure we achieve our safety standards, warehouse performance objectives, and operational targets. You will prioritise work to ensure our stores have the right products at the right time for our customers.


In this role, you will agree on short-term and annual operational plans with the Warehouse Operations Manager. If you thrive on driving performance, creating a positive work culture, and engaging your team, this is the opportunity for you.


Job Overview

Leadership & People Development

Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a warehouse team to achieve safety standards, performance goals, and operational targets. People Development: Develop individual plans for Section Managers, fostering talent and growth. Engagement & Communication: Engage with your team, seeking feedback and ensuring effective communication.

Operational Excellence

Operational Delivery: Ensure our stores receive the right products at the right time. Performance Management: Set and communicate team objectives and KPIs, regularly reviewing performance. Resource Planning: Align resources with operational plans, ensuring recruitment supports our goals.

Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain compliance with H&S processes, conducting regular checks and corrective actions.

Strategic & Continuous Improvement

Reporting & Strategy: Provide performance updates and contribute to strategic planning. Problem Solving: Anticipate and solve problems proactively, seeking support when needed. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive change and improve processes.

Minimum Criteria To Apply
Extensive experience in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Proven leadership skills, managing multiple teams and driving performance. Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and compliance. Experience in managing change and business improvement initiatives. Ability to communicate, motivate, and develop talent. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment.

Package

Salary & Hours

51,714 to 56,650 per annum dependent on experience. 40 hours per week, working any 5 days from 7. Fixed PM Shift (2-10pm)
