Warehouse Stores Manager

We are looking for a person with the right aptitude, experience, and qualifications to join our team to ensure our Warehouse and stores is operated efficiently and effectively.

Job Purpose:

To manage the effective and efficient operation of the warehouse and stores function, ensuring accurate stock control, timely order fulfilment, and the maintenance of a safe and well-organized environment. The Warehouse Stores Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics and field installation teams by ensuring all beer dispense equipment, parts, and consumables are readily available and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day warehouse and stores activities. Implement and maintain effective storage solutions for beer dispense equipment and components. Ensure goods are received, inspected, and stored accurately and promptly. Prepare and dispatch orders for field technicians, customers, and installations. Conduct regular cycle counts and annual stock takes.
Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems. Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and manage reordering to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
Health & Safety:

Ensure all health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to within the warehouse. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety signage throughout the warehouse.
Team Management:

Supervise warehouse assistants and store operatives, assigning tasks and providing training.
Equipment & Asset Management:

Oversee the maintenance and servicing of warehouse tools and vehicles. Maintain accurate records of assets and assist with equipment refurbishment or returns.
Liaison & Communication:

Work closely with the service coordination, technical, and logistics teams. Provide timely updates on stock availability and dispatch schedules.
Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in warehouse/stores management, preferably in a technical or beverage industry. Experience handling technical equipment, ideally in drinks dispense or similar environments. Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management software. Valid forklift license is desirable.
Skills & Competencies:

Strong organizational and planning abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach. Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Working Conditions:

Based primarily in a warehouse environment with occasional travel to supplier sites or customer locations. May involve occasional out-of-hours work to support urgent dispatches or installations.
