supervisory responsibility
with
practical warehouse work
, including lifting, loading, and forklift operation.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations and maintain effective warehouse management systems to improve efficiency.
Manage inventory control and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a productive and motivated team environment.
Actively support the team by performing warehouse tasks when required (e.g.,
lifting up to 25kg, operating forklifts, loading/unloading
).
Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of goods to couriers (DPD, Royal Mail, etc.).
Monitor KPI and implement improvements.
Conduct regular audits of warehouse processes to ensure compliance with
safety and customs regulations
.
Maintain and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise overall supply chain performance.
Qualifications
Proven experience in
warehouse management or team leadership
within logistics/distribution.
Hands-on warehouse experience, with the ability to
lift and handle goods (18-25kg)
safely.
Forklift operation skills (
Counterbalance, Reach, or Flexi/Bendi
); valid certification preferred.
Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and customs-controlled warehouse operations (ETSF experience a plus).
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to
lead by example
and support staff in daily operations.
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
