Every team member plays a vital role in helping us achieve our vision, and we are now seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead by example in our busy warehouse environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all warehouse operations, from goods-in and stock control to picking, packing, and dispatch, while also taking an active, hands-on role in daily warehouse activities. You will support and guide a small team, ensuring that safety, accuracy, and quality standards are maintained at all times.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both leading and doing, someone who can manage, motivate, and work alongside the team to deliver exceptional operational performance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Operational Duties:
Work alongside the warehouse team to pick, pack, load, and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
Receive and check incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
Assist with vehicle loading and unloading, stock movement, and warehouse organisation.
Safely operate forklifts and company vehicles when required.
Supervision and Team Support:
Lead by example, ensuring the team maintains OSKA's standards for quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Support with training and onboarding of new warehouse team members.
Allocate tasks and monitor daily workload to ensure smooth operational flow.
Motivate and guide the team, maintaining a positive, collaborative working environment.
Stock and Systems Management:
Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and assist with full stocktakes.
Help maintain correct stock rotation and report discrepancies promptly.
Health, Safety, and Warehouse Standards:
Promote and uphold health and safety standards at all times.
Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with safety procedures.
Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly to the Operations Manager.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
Support implementation of new systems, layouts, or working methods.
Customer Service and Delivery Support:
Assist with deliveries or installations at customer sites when required, ensuring professional service.
Represent OSKA with courtesy, reliability, and care in all customer interactions.
Required Skills and Attributes
Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally with some supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
Hands-on and practical approach , comfortable working alongside the team in all warehouse activities.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
Positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to motivate and support others.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP or stock management systems.
Full UK driving licence; forklift licence (Bendi/Flexi preferred).
Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse role, ideally with exposure to team coordination or supervision.
Experience with goods-in/out, stock control, and dispatch processes.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
