The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves leading a team of warehouse staff, coordinating workflows, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


The main working hours for this role will be Monday - Friday 08:00-16:00, however flexibility will be key to this role in providing holiday & sickness cover to the following Team Leaders shifts. Sunday - Thursday 22:00-06:00, Monday - Friday 06:00-14:00 & Monday - Friday 14:00-22:00.

Qualifications

Your role as Warehouse Team Leader

Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff. Ensure daily targets and productivity KPIs are met. Allocate tasks and monitor performance to maintain efficiency and accuracy. Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching processes. Enforce health and safety standards and ensure team compliance. Train and mentor new and existing team members. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., transport, inventory, customer service). Handle basic administrative tasks such as shift planning, reporting, and documentation.

What you'll bring...

Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices. Good organisational and time-management skills. Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Office, WMS software). Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Forklift licence

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required. Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
