Warehouse Team Leader (Hardware & Display Orders Handling)

13:00 - 13:50 Dependant on Experience

08:30am - 17:00pm Monday - Friday
Job Purpose:
To lead a team responsible for the daily handling, picking, and preparation of hardware and display stock to meet operational deadlines. The Team Leader ensures that all items -- such as handle packs, hinges, locks, and display units -- are correctly prepared and dispatched in line with daily KPIs and project requirements.

Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the hardware and display stock area, ensuring efficient workflow and task completion.
Allocate picking and packing tasks to team members based on priority and volume.
Ensure items such as handle packs, locks, hinges, and display components are picked correctly and dispatched on time.
Maintain clean, safe, and organised storage areas, ensuring stock is accessible and clearly labelled and barcoded
Monitor stock movements and update inventory systems accurately (e.g., booking in/out, adjusting quantities).
Lead daily briefings to allocate tasks, communicate priorities, and ensure team alignment with KPIs.
Support the team with hands-on picking, loading, and checking orders as needed.
Work closely with the warehouse supervisor and warehouse manager to address issues, suggest process improvements, and plan for upcoming workloads.
Maximize storage capacity throughout the Warehouse and replenish stock/locations when required - feed back to Supervisor/Manager ideas or issues on better space utilization
Assist with training new team members and promoting best practices for accuracy and speed.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and always company procedures.
Skills and Experience Required:
Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stockroom environment, ideally handling hardware or display materials.
Previous team leader or supervisory experience.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate order fulfilment
Familiarity with inventory or stock tracking systems (e.g., barcoding, handheld scanners, spreadsheets).
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and team coordination abilities.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling and stock movement.
