LBS is one of the UK's leading B2B suppliers of watch batteries and straps to over 2,000 high street shops. We're a family business with 30+ years' experience, a team of 20 colleagues (5 of whom are based in the warehouse), and a culture built on reliability, teamwork, and service. Many of our staff have been with us for years, and we're proud of the supportive, friendly environment we've created.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to manage and motivate a small, dedicated team (4 permanent staff plus ad hoc temporary colleagues) in our busy warehouse. You'll lead by example, working alongside the team to pick, pack, and dispatch high volumes of small-part orders with speed and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the team in daily order picking and packing.
Supervise incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Oversee stock control: booking in deliveries, checking stock, organising stock takes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
Manage temp staff during peak periods.
Ensure packaging stock levels meet demand.
Work closely with the buyer and logistics teams to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Continuous Improvement at LBS
At LBS, we believe in continuous improvement -- making consistent, small changes that add up to big results. As Warehouse Team Leader, you'll be expected to embrace this approach, keeping an open mind to change and helping your team work smarter every day.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit and tour other businesses to see best practices in action, bringing fresh ideas back to our warehouse and implementing them with the support of the wider team.
About You
Previous experience in a warehouse team leader/supervisor role is preferred.
A confident communicator with a positive, encouraging leadership style.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working at pace.
Knowledge of stock management and shipping/receiving procedures.
A team player who's happy to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team.
Open-minded, with the ability to spot and implement improvements.
What We Offer
Competitive salary (27,000 - 33,000).
28 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing with length of service.
1 paid day off per year for volunteering with a charity of your choice.
Company pension.
On-site parking.
No weekend or evening work.
Takeaway Fridays once per month.
Monthly social drinks with the team paid by the business.
Supportive, friendly working environment with opportunities to progress.
Be part of a stable, growing family business where your contribution is valued.
If you're a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing out the best in your team, we'd love to hear from you.
