WAREHOUSE TEAM MANAGER (PM SHIFT)



PM SHIFT - Trafford Park Distribution Centre



We are recruiting a Team Manager to run the PM shift based at our Trafford Distribution Centre. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader of operational teams and possess a strong understanding of warehouse processes, Manhattan Warehouse Management System, and have excellent people skills.



A DAY IN THE LIFE

Lead the PM shift team to deliver the growth for CPD & LDB Divisions. Lead by example in safety management, helping to develop an interdependent culture within one of the largest teams in the DC. Manage the day-to-day operation in your area ensuring that all targets are met, flexing resource to areas as and when needed. Develop a strong, collaborative working relationship with other shifts and departments (FLOWS, Stock Control, Quality Team) Actively contribute to the sites key results within the Physical Distribution vision. Communicate effectively to the warehouse colleagues, share with them UKI updates as well as shift briefs and general information. Ensure this is understood at all levels within your team. Instil feedback and a personal development culture for the PM team, share with them feedback on their performance and have dedicated 1-2-1 conversations to discuss their personal development. Lead your team with courage and commitment.

WHO YOU ARE

You have a 'Simply the Best' mindset, striving for excellence in everything you do. Experience managing a large, complex team circa 70+ colleagues. A drive for autonomy - operating on the PM shift is an opportunity to really develop your problem-solving skills & lead a team. A balanced approach to management, with the ability to manage closely between individual needs and the requirements of the wider team. Strong analytical skills. A good understanding of supply chain processes and best practices. An ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, from customer supply chain to wider operational teams. A sense of humour - with such a large team operating on a PM shift it is important that you create a positive and engaging environment so that your team can thrive. Experience of Manhattan Warehouse Management System. Good level of excel literacy and numeracy.
