Warehouse Team Member and EU Driver

This role is split between working in our warehouse in Hook and driving through Europe to collect stock from our various EU warehouses

Overview

As we continue to grow our business, we need to expand our team. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person who can come and join our small and friendly Warehouse team.

As a member of the warehouse team, you will be reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated and we want you to share our passion for what we do. You will receive full training but will need to be ready to hit the ground running and quickly be able to integrate yourself in to the team.

You will be performing general warehouse duties, preparing customer orders ready for dispatch, managing goods in / out of the warehouse, stock control as well as cleaning and preparing furniture. There will also be a requirement to support our photographer (on site) with the photo shoots. The job is based at our main Warehouse in Hook but we also have another warehouse in Warminster which you will need to travel to and from.

You will split your time between our Warehouse in Hook and driving in our company vehicle to our Warehouse in the Czech Republic. You will be required to do this in our company van (a Ford Luton, 3.5 tonne). Travel will be required every other week. This can be done between Monday to Friday. An additional driving bonus is given for every day spent driving in Europe. A typical trip will be to leave our warehouse in Hook with a van full of stock, drive to our Czech warehouse, unload the goods, re load with customer orders and drive back to Hook. Sometimes via our other warehouse in Belgium to load more stock. There may be supplier trips to attend also throughout France and Germany.

We are based in Hook, Hampshire, in our own lovely offices where we have several warehouses and workshops. We have recently taken on Warehouses in the EU. We buy vintage furniture all over Europe and sell globally to some very interesting and prestigious clients. We have had press coverage in The Times, The FT and in most major home interiors press.

Responsibilities and duties

Driving

Responsible for the loading and unloading the company vehicle

Regular communication with the office and warehouse manager with updates on your journey

Driving between different UK and EU warehouses

Driving to suppliers within UK and EU to collect stock

Safely loading product on the van

Order preparation

Responsible for preparation of all customer orders ready for packing for dispatch

Pack all orders ready for safe dispatch

Ensure all customers receive great products

Goods in/Out

Support the warehouse to:

Manage all goods into the warehouse

Manage all goods out of the warehouse

Photography

Working with the Warehouse team to manage the flow of products for all photoshoots

Warehouse

Maintain the warehouse in a good, safe and tidy manner at all times

Health and Safety

Ensure that at all times both warehouses and all work meets excellent health and safety for the employee and any visitors

To ensure that no risk is taken with any health and safety concerning:

o Manual Lifting

o Forklifts and pallet trucks

o Use of ladders

o Covid 19

o Manual access to shelving/racking

o Electrical appliances

o Manual tools

Transport

Support the Warehouse Team with the loading and unloading of the M&F truck as required, ensuring the truck load space is tidy and well maintained.

Restoration

Work with warehouse team to restore and clean all products as required and to the instructions by PM and Warehouse Manager.

Stock management

Ensure all products are labelled

Know the location of all products
