Warehouse to Wheels Trainee Driver Programme

Location

: Keynsham, Bristol

Full Time | Permanent | Career Progression to Class 2 Driver

We're offering a unique opportunity to start in our warehouse and work your way up to becoming a qualified Class 2 (LGV) Driver -- all fully funded and supported by I.J. McGill Transport Ltd.

About the Scheme

Our

Warehouse to Wheels Programme

is designed to support hardworking, ambitious individuals to progress into a driving career through structured training and experience.

Stage 1 - Warehouse Operative (6-12 months)

8-hour shifts Unloading containers, wrapping pallets, and put-away duties Working on a rota with opportunity to gain your forklift licence. Opportunity to demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork

Stage 2 - Van Driver (3+ months)

9-hour shifts Learn multi-drop delivery across the south west. Build confidence with customer service, vehicle safety, and route planning Gain valuable road experience before progressing to HGV

Stage 3 - Class 2 Driver (LGV)

Full Class 2 licence training funded by the company (subject to readiness and performance) 10-hour shifts Multi-drop driving Become part of our driving team with long-term career prospects

What We're Looking For

Reliable and hardworking individuals with a genuine interest in becoming an HGV driver Physically fit and able to lift and move goods as part of daily warehouse duties Good communication skills and a calm, positive approach to busy working environments Full UK driving licence (required before entering the van stage)
