Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and packing orders, ensuring that all items are handled with care and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also be required to help load and unload lorrys and containers when needed.

Hours of work are 6am - 3pm Monday to Friday.

Duties

Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels. Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Operate forklifts safely to move products within the warehouse. Accurately pick stock from stillages according to order specifications and prepare them for dispatch. Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure they meet company standards before shipping. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately. Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with picking and packing processes, as well as stock management practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding quality control measures. A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within the warehouse setting. Valid forklift certification is an advantage but can be obtained through training provided by the company.
