The Role:



As a Warehouse/Administrative Assistant at Arkay, you'll provide a crucial link between our office, customers, and warehouse operations. This varied position offers a blend of customer-facing duties, back-office admin, and hands-on support in the warehouse. You'll play a key part in ensuring orders are processed smoothly, deliveries are accurate, and customer expectations are exceeded.

What You'll Do:



Document Preparation:

Print delivery notes and organise folders, ensuring data accuracy across all relevant IT systems.

Customer & Supplier Support:

Handle incoming calls, respond to customer and supplier queries, and escalate issues where necessary.

Front Desk Interaction:

Welcome walk-in customers, assist with enquiries, and resolve issues--occasionally retrieving products directly from the warehouse.

Relationship Management:

Build and nurture positive relationships with customers and suppliers, offering a friendly and approachable service.

Order Communication:

Provide customers with timely updates regarding the status of their orders.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records across internal systems.

Delivery Assistance:

Support the loading and unloading of glass and window products, ensuring safe handling during dispatch.

Product Quality Check:

Inspect goods for damage before delivery and promptly report any issues to the line manager.

Goods Verification:

Cross-check deliveries against documentation and report discrepancies as needed.

Stock Organisation:

Categorise and store stock--specifically glass and window items--neatly and logically for easy retrieval.

Company Representation:

Uphold a positive image of the Arkay brand at all times in both customer and supplier interactions.

What You Bring:



Physical Readiness:

A good level of physical fitness is essential due to the manual handling requirements of the role.

Technical Proficiency:

Comfortable using computers and IT systems to manage orders, print documents, and update records.

Clear Communication:

Strong spoken English and confident verbal communication skills.

Autonomy & Initiative:

Capable of working independently and making minor decisions with minimal supervision.

Attention to Detail:

Highly organised, with a meticulous eye for accuracy and completeness.

Flexibility:

Willingness to support different functions across the role, adapt to changing priorities, and multitask as needed.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be currently residing in the UK and eligible to work here. We are unable to consider overseas applications.

Based in our Wood Green site.
