Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, collecting stock and orders from our warehouse in Glasgow and our other stores while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, in a safe and efficient manner. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid UK driving licence is essential for operating delivery vehicles. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with local roads and routes to ensure timely deliveries. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
