Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations while also fulfilling delivery duties. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, mechanical knowledge, and experience in both warehouse environments and driving commercial vehicles. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the organisation of our warehouse.

Responsibilities

Operate a van or flatbed lorry for deliveries, ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods. Manage inventory within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching products. Communicate with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary. Assist in loading and unloading goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with other team members to optimise workflow and improve operational processes.

Experience

Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver is essential. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is highly desirable. A valid commercial driving licence is required for this position. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with colleagues and customers. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road. Experience operating flatbed vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
