B. Davies and Son Ltd. Meat Wholesalers is looking for a warehouse/delivery driver. Salary to be negotiated depending on experience.

Warehouse Operations:

Picking orders:

Accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for delivery appropriately.

Stock management:

Maintaining inventory levels by receiving incoming shipments, and rotating stock to ensure freshness.

Loading and securing merchandise onto delivery vehicles.

Warehouse upkeep:

Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space, following safety procedures.

Delivery Operations:

Route:

Following assigned delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and mileage.

Customer interaction:

Interacting with customers at delivery points, providing excellent service, and sales invoice signatures.

Delivery verification:

Checking deliveries against invoices and addressing any discrepancies.

Vehicle maintenance:

Performing basic vehicle checks, reporting any issues, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.

Paperwork management:

Completing delivery paperwork accurately, including recording mileage and fuel usage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Physical ability:

Ability to lift packages.

Attention to detail:

Ensuring accurate order picking and delivery, and documentation procedures.

Driving skills:

Possessing a valid driver's license and safe driving record with a minimum of 6 points and being over 25.

Customer service skills:

Ability to interact professionally with customers and address any concerns.

Important Considerations:

Vehicle type:

The role requires driving a delivery van.

Work schedule:

This job may involve flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on delivery demands.

Safety compliance:

Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while handling merchandise and driving on the road.

Pay: 24,420.00-37,758.27 per year
