Abbey Logistics Group - Wash Bay Operative

Location: Hull

Working hours: 45 hours per week / Full Time

Rate of pay: 14.08ph

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and clean tanks to ensure all residues are fully removed, following washday procedures. Ensure tanks are externally clean, sealed, and safe before leaving the bay. Operate in line with Food Standards, using correct equipment, PPE, and H&S procedures. Monitor water, gas oil, and boiler operations efficiently, reporting any faults promptly. Keep accurate records of washes, check sheets, and yard status updates. Support depot operations by prioritising customer tanks, maintaining tidy/clean equipment, and reporting defective flexes. Carry out periodic pressure tests, validations, and depot observations.

Essential:

Ability to work safely at height, following all safety procedures. Strong attention to detail with a focus on food hygiene standards. Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to work.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar wash bay, transport, or food-grade environment. Full UK driving licence (preferred).
