Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Waste Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient management of waste collection and disposal operations. This position requires physical stamina and a strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations. The Waste Operative will be responsible for ensuring that waste is handled properly and efficiently, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

Duties

Sort and segregate waste materials for recycling and disposal in accordance with company policies. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in the loading and unloading of waste materials from collection vehicles. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Report any issues or hazards encountered during operations to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in waste management or a similar field is an advantage but not essential. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
