Waste Plant Operative

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the site in line with legislation, planning permissions, permits, H&S and plant manuals and documents. Maintain site cleanliness and company standards at all times. Operating waste processing plant Working in line with all site Health and Safety Procedures Ensuring the efficient processing of waste materials received Work to specified guidelines in order to produce customer feedstock Work effectively as part of a team Maintain the site's performance against production targets. Monitor process plant performance utilising the SCADA system including batch feeding, preparation, and adjustments. Basic maintenance of plant assets, fault identification and reporting. Sampling of all onsite process streams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety of the plant. Identification of process faults and plant asset breakdowns. Accept and facilitate tanker deliveries of waste streams. Other duties as required. Some weekend work will be required. All training provided.

Skills:

The capability to learn process plant engineering.

Have a good understanding of health and safety regulations.

Basic maintenance/mechanical skills.

Experience of operating either agricultural or plant machinery.

The ability to follow instructions with a keen eye for detail.

Beneficial - knowledge of AD/biogas/feedstock production.

Excellent communication skills/personable manner.

Computer literacy is essential - must be able to complete spreadsheets, emails and operate the SCADA system.

Forklift driver or similar beneficial.

Reports in to Site Manager

Experience:

Waste Processing Plant Operative: 1 year (Preferred)

Waste Processing/Recovery/Recycling

Experience in an industrial related field, such as wastewater or recycling, waste transfer station would be highly desirable.
