Job Summary

J & M Murdoch & Son Ltd have been providing transportation, waste management, disposal and recycling services to Glasgow and central Scotland for over 60 years, working with some of the largest and most successful construction companies in the UK and servicing a large volume of business and personal customers in Central Scotland. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site/Operations Supervisor at our main recycling centre in Darnley. The successful candidate will have experience in day to day running of the operations team with emphasis on Health & Saftey and efficiency. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as it the ability to prioritise operational tasks and safety in a dynamic and fast paced industry.

Duties

Continuously improve operational efficiency and optimise resource utliisation Maximise operational maintenance and operations, achieving and exceeding processing targets Lead, manage and develop a high performing operations team Champion QHSE standards, driving commitment, awareness and continuous improvement, Build a strong people-management culture focused on engagement, development and performance. deliver outstanding customer service, professionally representing the company to both internal and external stakeholders. lead by example in all aspects of your role.

Requirements

COTC Qualification would be an advantage Proven management experience in an operational environment Solid understanding of operational IT systems Knowledge of Health, Saftey, Environment and Quality systems, including safe systems of work. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop teams. Commitment to personal development and continuous learning. Experience in recycling or waste management is desirable but not essential.
