Job Title:

Waste Sorting Yard Operative / Material Handler Operator

Location:

Barton Skips, Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Yard Operative to join our busy skip waste sorting yard in Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced waste management environment and can confidently operate a material handler (Excavator with selector grab).

Key Responsibilities:

Sorting and processing waste within a busy skip yard Operating a material handler (excavator with grapple) safely and efficiently Assisting with general yard duties as required Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised work environment Working as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

Proven experience working in a waste sorting yard or similar environment Competent in operating a material handler (excavator with grapple) Physically fit and able to carry out manual work Willing to get hands-on and work in dirty or dusty conditions Strong awareness of health and safety procedures Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
