The Opportunity

We are looking for a Water Consultant to join our fast-growing Strategic Water Services team which sits in the wider Water team. We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of driving innovation, delivering excellence for our clients, influencing the sector both nationally and internationally through our projects, and working in collaborative, diverse teams. We deliver innovative strategies, plans and systems across all aspects of the water cycle, and work with clients such as governmental bodies, water regulators, water utilities and global NGOs. We provide expertise in: Risk management and resilience; Sustainability; Water strategy and strategic planning including corporate strategies, adaptive strategies, water resources management planning and drainage and wastewater management planning; Water policy and regulation; Investment planning including environmental and social economics; Digital innovation for the water sector.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include the following ; Primary and secondary research and data analysis; Conducting qualitative and quantitative assessments; Preparation of clear and concise reports; Liaising with client and managing stakeholders; Designing and facilitating workshops; Solving technical problems and providing innovative solutions; Managing delivery and budgets on small scale projects; Preparation of bids and tenders; Planning your workload so that you can deliver on time; Using various computer software packages ranging from Microsoft Office applications through to more specialist packages such as Arc GIS; Working with teams across the UK and internationally

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for candidates to join our team in our Bristol Office. We want to hear from candidates with some of the following attributes, qualifications and skills:



A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Geography, Science, Mathematics, or a degree course with related content. Applicants with (or in progress) Masters and PhDs encouraged (but not essential) Good reasoning and excellent analytical skills A desire to acquire new skills, including digital and presentation skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally / Confident in interpreting the needs of clients and other stakeholders Able to work independently - a self-starter but also able to seek support when needed Ability to help develop research methods and execute research projects A planned and organised approach to work and meeting deadlines
