The Role:

We are looking for someone with existing knowledge who is keen to develop into a water demand consultant and help grow Artesia\'s work on water demand and leakage.

We are looking for candidates with early career water demand experience, or post-graduates with a background in water demand (household and non-household consumption, leakage, and water balance). You will be enthusiastic, confident, forward thinking, and looking for a challenge. We will provide you with the opportunity to learn from Artesia\'s experts and develop your own thinking so you can progress and start to develop in areas such as water demand technology, operation, policy, and regulation. We will also provide you with the opportunity to develop skills such as client communication, report and proposal writing, critical thinking, problem solving, and strategic planning.

As a consultant you will be the visible face of the company and you will be required to interact closely with our clients. You will get the opportunity to work on a range of water demand and leakage projects with our skilled data scientists to bring an industry perspective to the outputs. As well as working with the Artesia team you will have a client facing role in project delivery by helping to ensure that the outputs we produce are aligned with client\'s needs.

This is a role that will give you the opportunity to help us maintain our reputation in water demand and develop our skills to meet future challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for acting on behalf of the end client to ensure their needs are met.
  • You will liaise with clients and be involved in discussing and agreeing requirements for projects.
  • You will be expected to contribute to proposals including technical content and costings.
  • Produce clear and concise technical reports to clients / stakeholders.
  • Using your technical skills and knowledge, you will work with colleagues, water industry clients and Artesia s data science team to provide guidance, recommendations and sector insights required for project delivery.
  • Contribute to the research and development of specialist services to keep Artesia at the forefront of the sector.
  • You will communicate project outcomes effectively to clients in an engaging, clear, and concise way to ensure our clients understand the work we have provided.
  • You will work with the business development team in responding to client requests for work and identify new areas for growth.
Requirements:
  • A numerate degree in engineering, physics, water management, maths, environmental science or similar.
  • 3 years experience working within the water industry, specifically in water demand (household, non-household, leakage, and water balance).
  • A good understand in the current regulations and issues in the leakage and water demand management and the needs of water companies over the next 5 to 10 years.
  • Knowledge of different mechanisms for reducing leakage and water demand in a sustainable way.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the confidence to present findings to clients and a wider audience.
  • You should have the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • You will be confident, proactive and have a passion for learning.
  • Good analytical skills along with strategic thinking.
  • You will have a keen sense of curiosity and creativity to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Adaptable and resilient within a dynamic project environment.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
Benefits:

This role will be permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday, with the benefit of flexible working.

Salary: \xc2\xa332,000 - \xc2\xa345,000 depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
