Overview

The Water Meter Reading position is essential for ensuring accurate billing and efficient water management. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading water meters, recording data, and reporting any discrepancies. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently in various outdoor environments.

Duties

Conduct readings of water meters in commercial properties. Record meter readings accurately and efficiently Identify and report any issues with meters, such as leaks or malfunctions. Ensure all readings are completed within designated timeframes. Communicate effectively with customers regarding any queries or concerns related to their water usage. Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal workflow and efficiency.

Requirements

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during meter reading tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a variety of weather conditions. A valid driving licence.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy driving, working independently and arranging their own working diaries within daylight hours. This is not a full time job and realistically is a few days a month and therefore is aimed at individuals who only want a few days a month work.

All meters are in Scotland and can be split by postal code areas depending on your location.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 30 per week
