Overall management of all Operators across the three operational units, to ensure that all tasks are performed safely and according to established procedures
Full management of labour cover and rota, ensuring each area is provided with staff as and when required
Provide training/coaching where appropriate to ensure effective operational deployment within the area
Ensure all records are updated and maintained within the respective Management Systems and Site Logbooks for Water Treatment and Water Hygiene
Provide regular updates on all weekly and monthly tasks, and any non-conformances including a robust action plan to rectify
Provide assistance with required tasks as and when required on each area
Manage chemical stock levels for water treatment tasks
Liaise with shift manager, engineers and subcontractors to arrange shutdown works and provide programme of works
Assist in the writing and review of safe working procedures and risk assessments
Ensure record keeping of daily and weekly tasks to ensure conformance with legislation
Attend regular meetings with different stakeholders to discuss performance KPI's and targets
Support the engineering teams from all three areas as and when required. This includes monthly hot and cold domestic Water Hygiene temperature analysis; assist in monthly random sampling for Legionella from domestic areas quarterly shower head inspections
Assist and liaise with annual CWST (cold water system tanks) inspections
Ensure good housekeeping of the Water Treatment Plants and follow 5S methodology
Assist with cleaning the Water Treatment Plant during shutdown periods
Work in a safe manner and have a proactive approach to all Health & Safety issues
Drive and support Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement activities in the area
Ensure that all activities in their area of responsibility are planned and carried out with good quality

The person:
Significant experience of the plant and sound working knowledge of water treatment processes
The ability to motivate and inspire a team of others to get things done
Accuracy & clarity in both written/verbal communications with the ability to form positive relationships at all levels
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Sound knowledge of manufacturing health and safety practices and procedures
Ability to get things done to achieve continuous improvement and development
