Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Wayleave Warden to support the delivery of the DWNO project. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing access to parts of the site covered by undertakings, easements, and wayleaves, ensuring all land access is agreed, documented, and compliant.
You'll work closely with the client's land and development team, liaising with landowners (grantors) and other stakeholders to agree site access routes, resolve issues, and maintain positive working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Responsibilities
Managing the Wayleave communication tracker, which will created and maintained, recording all communications and interfaces with landowners, 3rd parties and external stakeholders.

Act as the key point of contact for all grantor and stakeholder engagement, providing clear updates and maintaining excellent relationships
Negotiate and agree site access routes, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or disputes
Support the acquisition and management of wayleaves, easements, freehold and leasehold interests
Assist with the acquisition of planning and environmental consents where required
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements associated with land access and ownership
Support the settlement of claims and maintain accurate records of agreements and communications
Collaborate with internal and client teams to align wayleave activities with project programmes and construction milestones
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Has demonstrable experience in wayleave or land rights management, ideally within the energy or utilities sector
Demonstrates strong project management skills, with experience overseeing multiple schemes concurrently
Has proven experience in negotiation and stakeholder management
Brings a proactive, customer-focused approach to working with both internal teams and external stakeholders
Has experience in the acquisition of wayleaves, easements, and related consents
Is well-versed in legal compliance requirements associated with land access
Ideally has experience in the electrical sector, particularly OHL (Overhead Line) and substation projects (desirable)
