The Graduate Programme:
Assessment Centre: Thursday 11th December 2025
The Wealth Management Graduate Programme within our Wealth Management Function is a two-year programme and offers and excellent grounding in the fundamental principles of Financial Advice provision in one of the UK's largest wealth management organisations.
Based in our London offices, you'll work closely with experienced teams across the Wealth Management Function, rotating in key areas of our business that support St James's Place Financial Advisers (Partners) in their provision of advice to over 1 million clients. In doing so, you will gain exposure to real projects and responsibilities that build your confidence and capability.
During the programme you will complete the Level 4 Regulated Financial Planning qualification to support your development.
This will give you a well-rounded combination of practical experience, continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
All graduate positions are offered on a permanent contract. Upon successful completion of the programme, individuals continue in their roles within our Wealth Management division, equipped with the experience and insight gained throughout the Graduate Programme.
Key responsibilities:

  • You will work in various parts of the Wealth Management division over the two year programme with a focus on building a deep understanding of financial advice provision and both our financial adviser (partner) and client proposition.
  • Work on day-to-day tasks supporting strategy and delivery of services to our Financial Advisers including analysing and presenting data, preparing communications and reports, supporting strategic projects, and supporting wider initiatives that enhance our services to the Partnership and their clients.
  • Gain exposure to how we provide invaluable advice to our clients and evolve our offering to meet the changing demographics and needs of our client base.
  • Get the opportunity to work on strategic projects across the Wealth Management CEO office.
What we're looking for:
  • To be studying in your final year at university, or have recently graduated, in a degree discipline such as Finance, Economics, Business, Law, Data Science
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills including active listening and rapport building skills
  • Analytical skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with numbers, data and analysis and visualization of this data for reports to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
Special Requirements:
You will be required in the office a minimum of 3 days each week and more when the business requires. You may be required to travel to our offices across the UK from time to time in this role.
To be eligible for this vacancy, all candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
This programme is due to last for two years. If your right to work is based on a Visa that will expire before the end of the programme, it may not be possible to employ you in the role as at present, this programme does not meet the minimum salary thresholds required for skilled worker visa sponsorship under the UK Home Office guidelines. As a result, we're unable to accept applications from those requiring visa sponsorship in order to complete the programme.
