Online Retailer Responsibilities & Duties



Manage online product listings, including detailed descriptions, pricing, and high-quality images Implement and optimize search engine and social media marketing strategies Handle customer inquiries and complaints through various digital communication channels Collaborate with suppliers and maintain strong relationships to ensure a steady supply of products Monitor and analyze sales data and web traffic to make informed business decisions Oversee order fulfillment processes, including packaging and shipping Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely support and follow-ups Regularly update the website to reflect new products, promotions, and sales Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote products and drive sales Analyze competitor activity and market trends to stay ahead in the industry Utilize various e-commerce platforms and tools to optimize the online shopping experience Coordinate with other departments, such as finance and logistics, to ensure smooth operations Conduct periodic website audits to improve user experience and functionality

Online Retailer Qualifications & Skills



Proven experience in e-commerce or online retail and familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, EBay, Amazon, Wilko's, Wayfair and B&Q. Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing strategies Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation Experience with product photography and photo editing software Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics Creative problem-solving abilities Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or other data management tools Experience in website design and user experience (UX) optimization High school GCSE's, diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of e-commerce and online sales Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in using computers and internet-based applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong verbal and written communication skills Customer service experience Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing Basic understanding of inventory management Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Problem-solving skills Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
