Job Overview



We're seeking a talented PHP Developer with a keen proficiency in custom WordPress and specialised expertise in WooCommerce for e-commerce functions. This role is central to our team, working to advance and fine-tune our online appliance platform to ensure it's user-friendly and meets the needs of our customers. We're open to full time candidates for this role based at our chesterfield office.

You will be :-



Owning our websites. From scoping to developing and refining, you'll be crafting our own bespoke WordPress site. You'll work with custom theme, extending it with reusable block components and scalable logic. Basically, you'll be the architect of our WordPress universe.

You'll be making stuff better: performance, structure, SEO, accessibility, you'll always be improving something.

Key Responsibilities:



Drive the development and enhancement of our e-commerce platform with WooCommerce, prioritising security, usability, and efficiency. Support the maintenance and advancement of custom PHP applications to guarantee top performance and security. Develop Custom WordPress themes and plugins to align with business goals, enhancing user experience and interaction. Manage and refine MySQL databases to uphold data integrity and ensure high-performance levels. Apply front-end technologies (JavaScript, jQuery) to enrich the website's interactivity and aesthetic appeal. Participate in UI/UX design processes, utilising Figma and AdobeXD, to continuously improve our customer's online journey. Working with APIs and exploring AI technologies to bring innovative features to our digital offerings. Utilise Docker for virtualisation and Git for version control, promoting an efficient development workflow. Conduct testing and debugging to ensure reliability across devices.

Experience



Wordpress and in particularly woo commerce. Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, SASS, and jQuery is essential. Understanding of SEO principles to enhance website visibility. Experience with server-side programming and XML is an advantage. Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices is beneficial. Previous experience in data visualisation techniques will be considered a plus.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
