Overview

We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer to join our creative team. Responsibilities

Develop visually appealing website layouts and user interfaces using wireframing and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, and InVision. Create engaging graphics, icons, and visual content employing Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Adobe XD. Implement responsive web design principles to ensure optimal performance across various devices using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SCSS, Less (style sheet language), and JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, Redux, AJAX, and Vue.js. Collaborate with developers to translate designs into functional websites using front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Python, MySQL databases, and content management systems like WordPress and Drupal. Conduct user research and usability testing to refine website features based on analytics from Google Analytics and user feedback. Maintain existing websites by performing updates, troubleshooting issues related to website maintenance or content management systems. Ensure all designs adhere to SEO best practices for improved search engine rankings. Assist in the realisation of information architecture strategies that enhance site navigation and user experience. Stay updated with the latest trends in digital design and web development tools to continuously improve project quality.

Skills

Strong proficiency in digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, After Effects, XD, Acrobat, Figma, InVision. Extensive experience with web design technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Less), JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), PHP, Python. Knowledge of responsive web design principles ensuring compatibility across all devices. Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal for website management. Experience with UI/UX principles including wireframing (Balsamiq), prototyping (Axure), user research methodologies and usability testing. Competence in analytics tools like Google Analytics for data analysis skills related to website performance optimisation. Ability to work collaboratively with developers using Git version control system; understanding of AJAX for dynamic content updates; experience with SQL/MySQL databases is desirable. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail; excellent communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
