Website & Marketing Executive.

Garden House Design are an award-winning family business, working in the Landscaping sector, creating great outdoor spaces, through high end garden design and accessories such as outdoor kitchens and canopies, plus styling products.

We have an exciting 2026 planned with a large presence at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and 3 National Display Areas, and we need someone to manage our website and promote our brand, services and products.

Our growing company is looking for an ambitious Website and Marketing Executive to work closely with our Creative Director, to promote GHD through all channels and having direct responsibility for our Shopify and portfolio website and assisting in Events such as Chelsea Flower Show and other marketing tasks such as mailshots and brochure organisation.

This is an office-based role, so you must be able to commute to our Ferring sales office, although we will consider flexible working and part time for the right person.

The successful applicant will be responsible for placing new products on our website along with adding unique content to create SEO-friendly product descriptions. We are a creative design led company, so an interest in design and the outdoors would be an advantage.

Our ideal candidate is a driven professional with demonstrable creative writing skills. You should perform well under deadlines and be detail oriented. Working with our Creative Director, passion and enthusiasm is as important as years of experience.

Although as a basic requirement, technical knowledge, marketing experience, and an understanding of social media campaigns is a must, other transferable skills will be considered for the right person.

Essential qualities

Marketing skills and experience. Good technical knowledge, a clear understanding of Google marketing, keywords etc Experience working in a similar role, with particular emphasis on product loading onto websites (ideally Shopify) and creative writing with excellent written English skills. Good organisational and office skills, particularly Microsoft Office An ability to work under your own initiative Team Player Great telephone and customer skills Right to work in the UK
Preferable Skills

Experience working in a design and creative business Shopify Web Platform experience A passion for the outdoors and interest in Gardens, design and styling
Responsibilities will include amongst others.

Core Responsibility

To work with our Creative Director to grow and expand our market presence, brand recognition and with an uplift to our enquires and sales, and particularly our on-line sales.

Creating and updating the website and product content, including text, photos, and videos for our entire product range Ensure the website is optimised for organic search engine growth. Assist with general administrative duties within the office, such as answering the phone, filing etc.
The role will also be to promote our company into different market sectors through mailshots, advertising and Trade shows, in areas such as

Promoting GHD and attracting clients to our display areas. Get control of the website, make sure we have the right products, prices, fonts etc. this is quite a hands-on role to start with using Shopify. Promote our new branding to better effect, across all channel's + vans etc. Manage our photos & videos library Manage Google reviews - increasing the review numbers. Use B2B channels, eg; we are members of Approved Trade Association, and do very little to promote ourselves through their channels. The Package

A competitive salary will depend on experience, (fulltime position: guide 24k to 29K) along with a Pension contribution and 20 days holiday with 8 days bank Holiday. Hours of work will be 8.30 until 5pm.
