Grade/Salary: Grade 5: 29,588 - 33,002 per annum (with possible progression to 35,608)

We are seeking a digitally-focused and experienced Website Marketing Officer to support the management and development of the QMU website, including the website's content governance, usability and visibility.
About the Role
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this is a key role, with a particular focus on: website publishing and website development, content quality, relationship building, and web editor training.
The postholder will provide strategic digital support and guidance to colleagues within the MCO and across the entire university and they will contribute to university-wide strategic objectives by maximising website conversion.
Key Responsibilities
The postholder will project manage a range of website enhancement projects and will work closely with colleagues across the university to strategically improve content quality and website visibility, as well as enhancing the overall user experience of the website.
They will deliver engaging and user-friendly digital experiences, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, accessibility and effectiveness of the University's online presence for prospective students and businesses.
The postholder will have specific responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of the university's web editor training. They will develop, implement and manage a comprehensive and effective training programme and schedule that caters to a variety of skills levels.
They will foster relationships with editors and content owners across the university, monitoring performance on a regular basis. They will ensure that all training, guidance and support given is always focused on digital best practice and supports wider accessibility/legal compliance.
In addition to their efforts to develop the front-end of the website, they will also use their combined knowledge of the QMU Governance Framework, web editing model and our content management system (CMS), to improve the back-end editing experience for website editors.
They will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear and engaging way, adapting their approach as needed.
