Job Summary

MCN Hospitality is looking for a person with a real passion for weddings to join our team as Weddings and Events Coordinator.

Shotton Grange is a luxury wedding venue in the north east, comprising of a Georgian manor house set in six acres of exquisite grounds. This was added to our original site, The Parlour at Blagdon which is situated just a hundred metres away, both on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Responsibilities

As Weddings and Events Co-ordinator the successful candidate with be responsible for the following duties: To perform wedding and event show rounds and send quotations to close sales To work towards and surpass wedding and events sales targets To conduct wedding and event meetings with clients and create contracts with them. To work with the sales manager to organise events such as wedding showcases and open days To work closely with our recommended wedding suppliers To work with the sales manager to develop new sales strategies and marketing campaigns To promote the venues using our social media accounts To assist our happy couples with every aspect of their wedding from their first show round to the big day itself. To ensure each wedding and event is perfectly organised and executed to the highest standards. To respond and reply to all client enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

Proven experience in event planning or wedding coordination is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Background in hospitality or guest services is a plus (hotel or restaurant experience). Familiarity with catering services and banquet management is advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed for events. A passion for creating memorable experiences through meticulous planning and execution.
