Social Events Sales Executive

to join our Meetings Events Sales Team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a role in Sales or Events at Gleneagles.


You'll be working mainly Tuesday to Saturday, with the flexibility that these days may change, depending on the needs of our business.


The on target earning potential for this role is 31,993 / per annum - comprising a base salary of 26,993, plus a qualified estimate of 5,000 in gratuities and service charge.As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

Communicating directly with our guests to convert social group event enquiries into confirmed bookings, building strong client relationships and growing repeat business Preparing tailored proposals selling Gleneagles and our fabulous event spaces whilst meeting our clients' bespoke needs You'll be responsible for the coordination of an array of social occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, society events, charities, Christmas parties and weddings Making follow up calls post event to obtain invaluable feedback, constructively sharing this with the relevant departments Approaching site visits confidently and enthusiastically, always with the aim to 'wow' potential clients, ensuring they appreciate the full Gleneagles experience, with surprise and delight along the way Developing strong working relationships with our external wedding planner and event management companies, building a robust preferred supplier list, working together to drive business to the estate Meticulously preparing Function Sheets deliver the most amazing events Collaborating with your colleagues across the estate to ensure each event is tailored to our client's needs Keeping up to date and experiencing new products across the Glorious Playground, nothing ever stands still at Gleneagles! Expertly using our Sales Catering system to manage all bookings and accounts efficiently and professionally with huge attention to detail Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

Ideally, you'll already in a similar role, with have a minimum of 2 years' experience in luxury hotel Sales or Events with an outstanding track record of customer service Flexibility, adapting to changing demands and timescales, as well as using your initiative, are just some of your key skills Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand You have a positive "can do" attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

About gratuities service charge:

Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the estate that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role It is estimated that in 2025, our full-time employees can expect to receive around 5,000 in addition to their annual salary
