Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Weekend Care Staff to provide high-quality support and care to our residents. This role is essential in ensuring that individuals receive the assistance they need in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidates will have experience in dementia care and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in assisted living settings.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety at all times. Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all residents. Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dementia care or assisted living is highly desirable. Certification in first aid is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Experience in meal preparation and understanding of dietary requirements. Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards individuals of all ages. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary. A background in childcare or nursing would be beneficial but not essential.
