You will be responsible for ensuring the animals in our care are well looked after over the weekend. This shift is 4 hours on a Saturday and 4 hours on a Sunday. This includes carrying out essential health checks, feeding, mucking out enclosures, and contributing to the overall upkeep of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily health checks on animals
Feed animals according to dietary requirements
Muck out and clean animal enclosures
Perform light gardening tasks
Carry out cleaning duties in shared areas
Undertake general site maintenance tasks
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
Work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
Report back on specifics of your shift
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential
Comfortable working with a wide variety of animals, including equine, livestock, and exotics
Good communication skills and the ability to use your initiative
Comfortable with lone working and managing your own time
The role involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Applicants should be comfortable with these requirements
Responsible, trustworthy, and self-motivated
Good attention to detail and a caring attitude toward animals
