Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A driving licence is preferred for this position to assist with transportation needs.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support individuals in following their care plans and maintaining their health and well-being. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Ensure that the care home or home care environment is clean, safe, and welcoming. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual needs. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents and team members. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of individualised care approaches are beneficial. Strong IT skills for documentation and reporting tasks are preferred.
