Weekend Home Carer :
As a Home Instead Renfrewshire and Barrhead Weekend Carer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting your client to continue to live at home where they are most comfortable and happy, enabling them to have a good quality of life. Your role may include the following;
  • Collecting prescriptions, grocery shopping, and other errands.
  • Performing modest housekeeping, such as laundry, ironing or help with cleaning and vacuuming
  • Overseeing Medication
  • Assisting clients with personal care - washing, dressing, grooming.
  • Food and meal preparation

As a home care assistant, you will be responsible for helping our elderly clients remain independent at home by providing a range of duties including:

  • Helping around the home
  • Assistance with making dinner or meal preparation
  • Companionship
  • Medication reminders
  • Light housekeeping
  • Personal care like help getting dressed and washing
  • Help clients get ready for bed
  • Companionship activities like reading to patients or watching their favourite show

Once you've completed your training, you’ll be carefully matched to your clients and asked to visit them in their own homes.
