IMMEDIATE START FOR WEEKEND WORK

Smethwick, Birmingham (with national travel; occasional European trips by prior agreement)

Up to 14.50 plus overtime salary.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced

Coach Driver

to transport passengers safely and comfortably on scheduled routes, private hires, and tours across the UK (and occasionally Europe). You must hold a valid PCV licence, have prior coach driving experience, and adhere to strict safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate coaches in compliance with traffic laws and company policies. Perform pre- and post-journey vehicle checks (e.g., fuel, tyres, lights). Assist passengers with boarding/disembarking and luggage when required. Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the coach. Complete electronic logbooks and incident reports as needed. Follow planned routes and schedules, adjusting for delays when necessary. Communicate professionally with passengers, clients, and the operations team.

Working Hours:

Variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Some days may require up to 15 hours

(compliant with drivers' hours regulations). Majority of work is

single-drop and return journeys

Essential Requirements:

Valid PCV (Category D) licence

and demonstrable

coach driving experience

.

Enhanced DBS certificate

(must be provided before employment). Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). Excellent knowledge of UK road systems and tachograph rules. Ability to work long hours, including overnight stays when required. Professional demeanour with strong customer service skills.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience driving in Europe (for occasional agreed trips). First Aid certification.

Commission pay If overnight stays are required this cost will be covered by the employer

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bus driver or commercial driver. Valid GB driving license with relevant endorsements. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance. Excellent communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly. Prior experience with delivery or warehouse operations is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws. Reliable and punctual.
