Job Description

The Flexi Group are now looking for a Cafe Cook in the Hanley area!



You would be working for a brand new Indoor Football Centre, similar to Crazy Golf, bringing an together a hub for Football lovers for entertainment, parties and much more.

This is a temp-to-perm position, after successfully completing 12 weeks through the agency, you will be offered a permanent contract.

We are mainly looking for evenings and weekends as this will be peak times so flexible availability is required.

As a key member of our kitchen team, you will prepare and cook food and maintain the kitchen to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You will work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that all food served is of the highest quality and presented to our guests.

Main Duties:



-Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, and assemble dishes according to cafe menu specifications

-Cooking: cook meals and snacks in line with the cafe's standard operating procedures, ensuring food is cooked to perfection

-Hygiene & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and utensils. Always follow food hygiene and health and safety regulations

-Stock Management: Assist in receiving deliveries, storing stock properly, and ensuring that food supplies are fresh and used within their expiry dates

-Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard before they leave the kitchen

-Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and Hospitality Team Members to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction

-Maintenance: Ensure kitchen equipment is kept in good working order and report any issues or faults to Management

-Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety protocols, including food safety and handling guidelines

Pay Rates:



13.00-15.00 dependent on experience

Requirements:



It is essential that you have:

-Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or catering kitchen

-A good understanding of food hygiene

-Awareness of food allergies

-Strong attention to detail to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met

- Proven experience of working in a small team

-Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure

-Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and hospitality teams

It is desirable that you have:

-Experience in stock management

-Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 certificate

-A knowledge of basic first- aid
