Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all requirements are met. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Foster a positive environment by engaging residents or clients in social activities and providing companionship. Ensure a clean and safe living environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. A valid driving licence is required for roles involving travel between clients' homes. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Strong IT skills are beneficial for managing care plans and documentation. Excellent communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
