Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Stock and organize ingredients and supplies
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team

Summary

As a Weekend Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in food preparation and ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your kitchen experience and communication skills to assist with meal preparation and food safety practices. Your core skills in food preparation and culinary experience, will come from your previous experience and or your ongoing training. Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen operations Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Culinary experience, preferably in a catering or restaurant environment Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Flexibility to work weekends, accommodating weekday studies or commitments
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
