Care HomeJob Purpose
To support the care home by ensuring residents' clothing and linen are cleaned, maintained, and returned promptly, following high standards of hygiene and infection control.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, dry, iron, and fold residents' clothing and care-home linen Label and organise residents' personal items Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area Follow infection control, COSHH, and health & safety procedures Report missing or damaged items and faulty equipment Support residents' dignity by handling belongings with care
Skills & Qualities
Reliable and punctual Good attention to detail Ability to work independently Understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards Previous laundry or care home experience desirable but not essential
Safeguarding
Commitment to safeguarding residents. Enhanced DBS check required
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.60 per hour
