Rugbytots Coach

We are looking for coaches to join our team to deliver our fun, structured rugby based programme for children aged 2 to 7. Successful candidates will need high levels of energy, enthusiasm and excitement, to create an atmosphere that is unique and engaging. The focus will be to teach the children how to catch, pass kick and run with the ball and play as part of a team while having lots of fun and helping them grow in confidence

We have an established venue with 3 classes running on Saturday mornings in Ampthill at Redborne Upper School. The part time hours are 8:15am to 11:15am (which includes 15 mins set up and close down time).

Responsibilities:

Explain and demonstrate various rugby based activities, skills and games Engage with and motivate the children in all classes throughout the morning schedule Work though the Rugbytots programme of games and tasks to teach the basic core skills used in rugby in a fun and structured environment Demonstrate games and skills with enthusiasm and energy, and provide positive feedback to the children Plan the sessions, ensure class start and finish on time, and engage with parents Be a positive representation of our brand by ensuring classes are run to a high standard with proper use of kit and equipment.

An outgoing, dynamic personality An ability to engage with children with energy, enthusiasm and excitement Excellent organisational, verbal communication and listening skills Flexibility and adaptability Ability to work in the UK

Desirable attributes:

Experience of working with young children and/or previous coaching experience. This is desirable but not essential for somebody with the personality we are looking for A passion for sports (ideally rugby but not essential)

What we offer:

Competitive rates of pay (starting on between 12.50 and 14.50 per hour depending on experience and role with a review after first block in position and once lead training complete).
