We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and have the ability to navigate efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and the capability to handle heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and reliability.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
A valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous.
Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems is preferred.
Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on the road.
