Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Weekend Night Porter to join our team at Tankersley Manor Hotel. This role focuses on supporting our meetings and events team by setting up and preparing event spaces overnight to ensure everything is flawless for the next day's functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable working independently during quiet overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up meeting rooms and event spaces according to specified layouts and requirements. Arrange furniture, audiovisual equipment, and other materials needed for meetings and events. Assist with unloading and organizing event supplies and deliveries. Conduct routine checks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness of event areas. Support general night porter duties such as maintaining security, monitoring public areas, and responding to guest requests. Collaborate closely with the events and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless event execution. Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate department. Adhere to all hotel policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hotel, event setup, or night porter role preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to lift and move heavy items safely. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Comfortable working independently overnight and with limited supervision. Good communication skills. Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts.

Weekend night shifts (typically from late evening to early morning). Physical role requiring manual handling and prolonged standing

Pay: Up to 12.51 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
