Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. A valid driver licence and experience in commercial driving are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver goods to designated locations Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and pickups Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured correctly during transit Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and order fulfilment

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver with a strong understanding of driving regulations in the UK Previous experience with delivery driver roles involving warehouse operations is advantageous Mechanical knowledge of vehicles to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment is preferred Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Familiarity with route planning software and GPS devices for efficient navigation
