Job Title:
Weekend Hotel Receptionist & Restaurant Host
Location: The Half Moon, Herne Hill, London, SE249HU
The Role:
As a Weekend Receptionist & Restaurant Host, you are the friendly face of our hotel & restaurant, providing a warm and efficient welcome to our guests during our busiest periods. You'll be the first point of contact, ensuring a memorable stay from check-in to check-out for both the hotel & pub side of the business, while also assisting with various front-of-house duties.
It is essential you are available weekend daytime shifts. However, further shifts are available throughout the week for candidates who are flexible with their working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience: Deliver a consistently high level of customer service, greeting guests and ensuring a seamless service process for various aspects of the business including our boutique 12-bedroom hotel, 60 seat restaurant as well as various event spaces.
Reservations & Admin: Handle incoming calls, manage reservations, and assist with guest inquiries and requests.
Financial Procedures: Process payments and manage guest accounts accurately.
Interdepartmental Support: Liaise with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, food and beverage) to ensure guest satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
A friendly, positive, and approachable attitude with a passion for hospitality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
A proactive and "can-do" approach to problem-solving.
Flexibility to work weekend shifts- this is a must.
Previous hotel reception and/or hosting experience is a plus, but not essential for the right candidate.
