Ruby is a family-run business based in the heart of Devon, supplying high-quality timber products and outdoor structures across the UK. Every member of our team plays an important part in delivering the exceptional service our customers know us for.

We're looking for a reliable and friendly Weekend Sales Assistant to support our team. This role involves helping customers with their enquiries, keeping the sales area tidy, and providing general support across the showroom and yard.

Duties:

Be the friendly face of Ruby, greeting customers and offering helpful support, advice and expert knowledge. Promote sales by highlighting best-sellers, new arrivals, and Ruby UK promotions. Maintain a tidy, organised, and inviting showroom and sales area to showcase our products at their best. Process customer transactions accurately. Respond to customer questions promptly . Support the wider team during busy periods.

Qualifications

Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude. A genuine interest in helping customers choose the right products for their project. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team. Confident communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Consistent availability on weekends. Retail or sales experience is beneficial but not essential -- enthusiasm, reliability, and willingness to learn are key!
