Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic Sports Coach to lead and deliver sports-based birthday parties for children aged 5-12 years old. The role will involve planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate games and activities, ensuring children are safe and engaged, and creating a memorable party experience for every child.

AJB Sports in Education delivers fun, safe, and engaging sports activities for children across Worcester and the surrounding areas. We specialise in school PE work, holiday camps, after-school clubs, and birthday parties, aiming to inspire children to enjoy physical activity in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead fun, active, and engaging sports sessions at children's birthday parties. Create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants. Adapt activities to suit the age, ability, and interests of children. Set up and pack away equipment before and after parties. Communicate clearly with parents/guardians and provide a professional service. Support the smooth running of parties, including managing timings and transitions between activities. Represent the organisation's values at all times.

Essential Skills & Qualities:

A passion for working with children and helping them enjoy sport. Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident leading groups. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to engage children of varying ages and abilities. Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

Previous coaching/teaching experience with children aged 5-12. Relevant sports coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 1/2 Coaching Certificate, PE/Sports degree, or similar). Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications (or willingness to complete training). Experience working in schools, holiday camps, or children's activity settings.
