We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Weekend Staff for our Pop-Up Tasting events. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and enjoy engaging with customers in a vibrant setting. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional tasting experience while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for tastings. Engage with customers, providing information about the products and enhancing their tasting experience through effective upselling techniques. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and serving areas. Support the setup and breakdown of tasting stations, ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use. Greet customers with a friendly attitude and introduce them to the products being taste tested. Provide information about the ingredients, flavors, and benefits. Manage crowd control, offer customers samples and encourage them to try different products. Answer questions about the items, share suggestions, and promote any special offers or deals.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety practices is preferred to ensure compliance during tastings. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A friendly demeanour and willingness to help customers will enhance their overall experience at our events. Must be available to work weekends, as this is a weekend role. Typically between 10am- 6pm. A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Bilingual; A significant portion of our customers South Asian languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi so bilingual language skills are a strong advantage. This role will be held at different locations around Manchester and other surrounding areas, must be willing to travel.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.40-12.21 per hour
